Talamonti was founded in 2001 by the Redmont – Di Tonno family, in a magnificent, unspoiled part of the Abruzzi. Our daily objective lies in constantly seeking the best interaction between the varietal in our vineyards, the sun-exposition, the training method, and the desired yield, with the sole desire to best express our unique terroir.

Abruzzo

The Abruzzo region lies in the vicinity of Tuscany, in Central Italy, touching the Adriatic sea. Blessed with a warm and sunny climate, Abruzzo is the 5th most important Italian wine producing region in terms of number of liters of wine produced every year.

Sea breezes on the coast, and high altitude vineyards further inland, keep the grapes from over ripening, while still producing very friendly and approachable reds and whites. Most well known for the very popular red wine Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, the region also produces some white wines from Trebbiano, as well as international varietals such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay.
